Digital Radio

Because of the interest in digital radio, we will use this page to post information and links to PowerPoint presentations and other information. Zale, KD7FYD, will be taking the lead with the digital net effort. Look for digital net announcements on this page.

The Mercury Northwest Digital net is held on Saturday mornings at 07:00 on 3.581 USB. We will start each session using MT63/1000. If no stations are heard or check in I will close down at 07:30. If we have stations participating we will go until 07:50 to give those stations wanting to check into the ERC HF net the opportunity to switch. We will always start with MT63/1000 mode USB we will switch to other digital modes during the net. I use FLDIGI software. It is a free download and is capable of most all of the digital modes. If that frequency is busy I will go up by five KHz to 3.586MHz.

If there are stations wanting to try or use the Winmor Program. Download the RMS Express program. It works very well with the Winmor Soundcard. I will be happy to try and make a station to station contact with them. We have some LDS Hams who operate RMS Gateway's. If you are one who operates a gateway please let me know.
